When You Are Old
爱尔兰诗人叶芝写给一生挚爱、却终未嫁给他的女子毛德·冈。全诗假借"当你老了"的想象：许多人爱过你年轻的容颜，而只有一个人爱你那朝圣者般的灵魂——以及你渐渐变老的脸上的哀愁。这份爱后来远去，走上头顶的群山，把脸藏进星辰之中。短短 12 行，写尽了一个男人一生最深、最克制的告白。

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
